This is a template written statement of terms and conditions for a New Term Time Only (TTO) staff member to join your Day Nursery, Pre-school, Out of School Club or Childminding setting with employees updated in December 2025. Since April 2020 all new workers (that’s employees,temps/casuals) need to be issued their Written Statement of Terms and Conditions. on day one of their employment. Regardless of how long they are stopping (there is no dispensation for employments expecting to last 4 weeks or less anymore!). That means employers need to be ready to issue the Written Statement of Terms and Conditions from the recruitment stage. We’ve added new clauses to comply with new requirements that include contracted hours, paid leave, mandatory training etc. This template is should be used where you are contracting a staff member to work part year and reflects that since April 2024 we have a new definition for part year workers.
