This is a template written statement of terms and conditions for a new casual/zero hours employee to join your Day Nursery, Pre-school, Out of School Club or Childminding setting.
With effect from April 2020 all new workers (that’s employees,temps/casuals) need to be issued their Written Statement of Terms and Conditions. Regardless of how long they are stopping (no dispensation for employments expecting to last 4 weeks or less anymore!).
That means employers need to be ready to issue the Written Statement of Terms and Conditions from the recruitment stage.
We’ve added new clauses to comply with new requirements that include contracted hours, paid leave, mandatory training etc.
From 1st April 2024 you can now use 12.07% to calculate the holiday entitlement of casual employees.
